About TCS New York City Marathon
The New York City Marathon is run each November by New York Road Runners: it starts on Staten Island at the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and crosses Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Manhattan to the finish in Central Park. It is one of the World Marathon Majors and among the largest marathons in the world. Places come by drawing, by qualifying time or through charities; for spectators, First Avenue and Fifth Avenue are the great places to cheer. See the official site for the date and the course.
