About SoHo and Tribeca: the back story

SoHo’s cast-iron buildings and cobbled streets are lined with shops, and Tribeca, to the south, has loft apartments, quiet hotels and excellent restaurants.

SoHo

Balthazar, Dominique Ansel Bakery, Bloomingdale’s SoHo and the Mercer are SoHo landmarks, with Crosby Street Hotel on a cobbled side street.

Tribeca

Jungsik and Atera are among Tribeca’s top tables, with the Greenwich Hotel, the Warren Street Hotel and Fouquet’s for staying.

Look up in SoHo: the cast-iron façades are the show.

Nolita and Little Italy

Lombardi’s, Torrisi and Ferrara are a few blocks east.

Our advice: shop SoHo on a weekday morning, then lunch in Tribeca.
